Good old-fashioned classic Drive-In fun! They are getting the speakers going again too. They're scratchy and old, it's retro fun or you can use your car stereo of course. I've been going for years. I have now begun taking my grandchildren who are 12 + 16 to the 3 screen Drive-In and flea market.
It's a great place to go for a date or to bring the family. The price for 2 movies is fabulous. They have 3 very large screens located on the property that play a few different movies for the night. Its nice that you have the option to bring in your own snacks and things for comfort or you can visit the concession stand that has a good variety of things ranging from popcorn to burgers and pizza. If your in the area or willing to take a drive it's definitely worth checking out.
Haven't been to a drive-in in I don't know how long. Found it to be a little better than going to the movie theater as you don't hear all the talking going on that's not in the movie but you do see people constantly in & out of their cars. Some right next to you! Aside from that it was like having your own personal theater. I had control of how loud the movie played! And if you want to go get a snack you can at least see what you're missing...
This was so much fun! The wife and I took the kids for their first time and honestly it was nice. I love the feeling being close with my family and watching old movie commercials it just really brings a sense of family and fun. Just don't forget to turn your lights off or people get really irritated... ;) I'm definitely going back again.
Although it has gotten a bit more expensive at 11 a person its still a great deal for 2 movies. 3 screens play 2 different movies each. Screens and grounds are in great shape. Snack bar with typical greasy fare but a wide variety for every craving. Prices are a bit steep but certainty not as bad as other theaters. Plus you are welcome to bring your own and save money. Great family outing.
