I went here years ago and the owner was so rude and mean. She yelled at me because I asked for a design on my nails and she couldn't understand what I meant. She was yelling about me to her son right infront of me as aggressively as possible, then charged me a crazy amount for giving me a design I didn't want. I never went back for my nails. My friend just went the other day however, and this woman was just as rude as ever. Nothing like paying a good amount of money to get yelled at and gossiped about while having your nails agressively handled. I have never met such rude owners, I honestly have no idea how they have stayed in business through the years, they have to be rating themselves here or writing their own reviews or something. Save your money. Tolland has a really good place near the Big Y plaza, Elle nails.
The lady who did my nails did a nice job cutting my cuticles down which is usually my biggest problem with getting my nails done bc they bleed easily. However, the salon was very outdated and didn't look very clean. Also, my gel manicure began to yellow after two days of wear, which is very disappointing and probably means they use very cheap product. Not worth the $30 I spent and not worth the convient location to uconn.
I have a full set with gel and after a week and a half all of my nails are cracking from being too flimsy and I painfully broke my thumb nail two days after getting them done. They aren't friendly and they always make my cuticles bleed from being too rough. If you can get past the pain and can deal with prefer having short nails I'm sure they'd do a nice job
I've tried going here multiple times, hoping to like it because it's close to my house and I'm not picky, but every time is a horrible experience. It's dirty and eerily quiet inside, the women are rude and when you say something to them they don't acknowledge you with a yes or no, you just have to assume that they heard you...and it hurts! They are so rough and each time I've left my fingers and nails have been pulsing and sore. I have gone 3 times thinking maybe I hit them on an off day, but it's always really bad. :(
After years of not going here I went back out of convenience because it was so close. It was bad before and still bad now. The women are rude! They act as though you are a bother to them! It's unsanitary! They are rough on your fingers and left me in pain! My nails came out ok but not worth it because of the unplesant experience. Never again! I don't know how they are still in business!
