We have been visiting the Altnaveigh for more than 10 years. It is simply our favorite dining experience in Connecticut, and rivals any cuisine I have had in my travels over the years. The food is expertly prepared, tastefully presented, and as flavorful as any I have experienced. Of course, it is in the middle of New England, so it doesn't have nor does it pretend to have the urban nuances of restaurants I have visited in New York, Boston, Washington, DC--and that is fine with me! Tonight is my wife and my 32nd wedding anniversary, and you know where we are going!
Found a worm in my bed and the inn keepers were very unprofessional. The rugs are stained and dated.

Went there to celebrate a graduation at Uconn. Ambiance is nice but the quality was only so so. The waiter seemed over whelmed and it was busy! The woman at the bar was fantastic and attentive. Salmon was too dry and the filet quite small.... It seems expensive for the quality but then it was a college town and graduation and CT, so what the market will bear?
